Grimsby Amateur Radio Society

Our club is for those with an interest in Amateur Radio and Shortwave Listening in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes areas of North East Lincolnshire.

The Society encourages the use of good operating practices and procedures when on air.

We are always looking to recruit new members, be they accomplished Amateur licence holders, those looking to get started in the hobby and gaining their licence or those with just a general interest in radio technology.

We meet every Thursday at the Cromwell Club, Cromwell Road, Grimsby see map from 7:30pm, the first Thursday of the month being the minuted meeting night and the others are general "natter" nights or "speaker" nights when guests are invited to give talks on various parts of the amateur radio hobby. We also take part in contests and special event stations at various times.

Grimsby Amateur Radio Society was formed in the 1930`s. Over the years we have held our meetings at various places but for the last 30 years we have held our meeting at the Cromwell Social Club, where the meetings are held in the upstairs room.
